Broadway Strike Ends

November 29th, 2007

BroadwayBroadway theatres will reopen for business after stagehands and theater producers have finally reached a tentative agreement. At last, the strike came to its logical end after having kept more than 2 dozen shows dark for nineteen days. The long-awaited settlement came yesterday night, the 3rd day of marathon sessions between Local One and the League of American Theatres and Producers to end the work stoppage. It has cost producers and the city millions of dollars.
