Grease is the Word
Max Crumm and Laura Osnes who were handpicked by America on the show “You’re The One That I Want” have fell in step with the production and are key to its success. Both have beautiful singing voices and they both bring out the good sides in their characters, Danny and Sandy.
It is the tragic love story of a greaser falling for a high class girl. They come together, fall apart, go through a series of twists and turns, and come together again. Written from a teenage angst viewpoint, the cast is completed by Kenickie and Rizzo, who make few bad choices along the way, and all their friends who are always giving bad advice to Sandy. Frenchy wants to drop out, but gets a visit from an angel telling her to go back to high school. The music always brings back memories and no one can ever forget Greased Lightening once they have seen it.
Critics have said this version of Grease is just a little different because the producers thought it should be a family show. Some have said that the musical numbers make people freeze over instead of just leaving them with chills. Having such a wonderful history with 1978 movie, the play, and now the Broadway musical, it like Grease should come into its own. The story has been around for a good long time and people keep flocking back to see it over and over and over again.
