Dandridge Will Be New Lady of the Lake
Tony Award winning Best Musical, Monty Python’s “Spamalot” is all set for a new
addition to its cast - Merle Dandridge who is currently playing ‘Joanne’ in Rent.
Merle who will be seen playing the character of ‘The Lady of the lake’ from
Marin Mazze has also been a part of ‘Aida’, ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ and
‘Tarzan’. The musical which tells the legendary story about King Arthur and
the Knights of the round table and their quest for the holy grail has been
received with much appreciation by the critics. Spamalot earned the 2
005 Tony Award for Best Musical and took home honors for direction
(Mike Nichols) and one of its stars (Sara Ramirez).
